How do I lift the blocks ?
We can supply a certified lifting clamp, specifically designed to locate into the lifting rebates cast into the blocks. This is the safest method for lifting and positioning the blocks. Usually we can loan the lifters at no charge provided they are returned promptly without damage.
What strength is the concrete ?
Because the blocks are cast from surplus concrete from our ready mixed concrete operation we can not provide any specific concrete strength for the blocks
Will the blocks all be delivered with the same colour ?
To keep the costs of the blocks to a minimum we recycle all surplus concrete into our blocks. Sometimes we will cast blocks from coloured concrete in which case we paint the blocks to match the colour of plain concrete as best we can.
How do I get the blocks delivered and installed ?
If you don't have someone who can collect the blocks for you we will ask for prices from several freight companies who are familiar with our blocks to give you a price directly to collect the blocks from our yard and deliver them to your site. If required they can be delivered on a hi-ab truck and positioned directly. We also work with contractors who are familiar with our block system who can provide you a price to install your blocks for you.
How many blocks can be delivered on a truck and trailer ?
Typically 22 to 24 blocks can be carried by one truck and trailer unit.
Can I buy blocks with "flat tops" ?
Yes, we can supply all three sized blocks with flat tops which are useful for the top course on some projects.
Can I borrow the a lifting clamp later on if I want to move my blocks ?
Yes, of course you can.
Are there any environmental benefits in buying these blocks ?
Yes, these blocks are cast from surplus concrete that would otherwise go into local landfill. By purchasing our blocks you are giving surplus concrete another life cycle. In addition the production of cement generates significant greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, Concrete that is exposed to the atmosphere (such as these blocks) will recarbonate over many years reabsorbing carbon dioxide and absorbing greenhouse gases improving the environment we all live in.
